What do we see when we look around?
Our region has lots to be proud of. Unfortunately, too much of its potential goes unnoticed. Could this be a regional thing? Groningen and its residents are known for their modesty and 'level-headed' approach. But the city of Groningen and the region are selling themselves short. And then there is our view on individual development: all too often we devote time and energy to filling alleged gaps in knowledge and skills while we take little note of the competencies pupils and students may already have. This is one of the pitfalls of today’s education system: focusing on what is missing instead of what is already there. Talk about wasting energy.
So what do we want to see?
We want to see an attractive, strong region, with a healthy economy, aimed at development and quality of life and work.
